Slice of California Show
Two of my images were accepted and one of them was chosen for the 1st Place Award (image on left below) in this year's Slice of California show at the Pence Gallery in Davis, California.
This competition is open to art in all mediums.
This year’s juror is DeWitt Cheng, a critic and curator in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has written in the past for Sculpture, San Francisco Art magazine, Art21 and Huffington Post, and writes currently for Art Ltd, Visual Art Source and East Bay Monthly. He is the author of hundreds of reviews, and countless catalogue essays on contemporary artists. Cheng also serves as curator for Stanford Art Spaces on the Stanford campus.
There is a reception on August 12th.The show runs from July 8th through August 21st.

Ths Salon Des Exclus is a group of four artists I joined that have been meeting every two weeks for more than three years. This is our first group show.
I am presenting work from my Fire Flowers project.

Slice of California Show
One of my images, Acrophobia, was accepted into the Slice show at the Pence Gallery in Davis. Shelly Willis, Director of Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission, chose 30 pieces from more than 300 submissions. The show runs from July 8th through August 20th.
The opening reception is on July 10th.

As the print version of the magazine contains only black and white photographs, my color images appeared in the Extended DVD version of the magazine. It was the 100th anniversary issue of Lenswork Magazine.
